FIRST MAJOR BODYBUILDING FILM SINCE SCHWARZENEGGER'S "PUMPING IRON"
KICKS OFF WORLDWIDE TALENT SEARCH
"No Pain, No Gain" with Gold's Gym and Charles Atlas Seek Hard Bodies
to be Part of Film and Bodybuilding History!
"No Pain, No Gain," the first major feature film set in the world of
bodybuilding since "Pumping Iron," which launched the career of
Arnold Schwarzenegger, opens a worldwide talent search for physically
fit people to appear in a major scene of the film. The talent search
will run through October 3rd and is open to men and women of all
ages, sizes, and shapes, including bodybuilders, fitness and figure
models and everyday people in good shape. Submissions are being

The "No Pain, No Gain" talent search is sponsored by Gold's Gym's
premiere Northern California franchisee, The McCall Gym Group, and
Charles Atlas Corporation, along with Prince Harrison's Optimum
Fitness, Lana's Egg Whites, Glo Tanning, Performance Sports Care, and
Fitness Enterprises. "We are thrilled to sponsor this worldwide
talent search as a way to allow bodybuilding fans and fitness
enthusiasts to participate in the making of the film," said Jerry
McCall, president and owner of The McCall Gym Group.
The talent search will be judged by the film's producer-director
Samuel Turcotte, bodybuilder Gus Malliarodakis, and IFBB Pro
bodybuilder Dennis Newman. The panel of judges will choose a total
of 21 finalists in seven different categories, including male
bodybuilding, male fitness, female bodybuilding, female fitness,
female figure, male other, and female other, who will then be invited
to audition in person. The finalists and ultimate winners will be
cast as featured extras. In addition, the finalists and winners will
have their picture and profile featured on the "No Pain, No Gain"
website and will receive prizes from the talent search sponsors. "We
are looking for a diverse group of people possessing a special
combination of charisma, on-camera appeal and a positive attitude,"
said Turcotte.

Malliarodakis as Mike Zorillo, a highly intelligent former state
champion bodybuilder who has become obsessed with his scientific
research and, has consequently let his world-class physique go.
